Porducare Enterprise Shines at the National Emerging Leaders Economic Forum (NELEF) in Accra
Accra, Ghana – Porducare Enterprise proudly participated in the National Emerging Leaders Economic Forum (NELEF), a prestigious platform organised by VODEC Africa that brings together young leaders, policymakers, and business professionals to drive dialogue, innovation, and collaboration toward Ghana’s economic growth.
This year’s forum featured the highly anticipated NELEF Idea Challenge, where selected organisations were given the opportunity to present their ideas before a live audience and a panel of judges. Representing Porducare Enterprise, Portia Dumba delivered a powerful and insightful pitch that highlighted the enterprise’s mission to advance economic development and create sustainable livelihoods for women in Northern Ghana through the Shea industry.
Portia’s presentation emphasized how Porducare Enterprise is transforming local communities by empowering women through training in quality shea processing, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, while also creating access to markets. Her pitch showcased an innovative approach that not only drives economic empowerment but also contributes to poverty alleviation and community resilience.
The recognition and award received at NELEF stand as a significant milestone for Porducare Enterprise. This achievement will help expand the organisation’s operations, strengthen its capacity to scale production, and enhance its ability to impact even more women across Northern Ghana.
“Being recognised at NELEF is not just a win for Porducare Enterprise but a win for every woman working tirelessly in the shea value chain,” Portia Dumba shared after the event. “This is an opportunity to do more, reach more communities, and create lasting change.”
Porducare Enterprise remains committed to its vision of improving livelihoods, promoting gender equality, and contributing to Ghana’s economic development – one shea nut at a time.
